St. Notburga can still be a great role model for us today. Although she was only a simple Tyrolean maid, she nevertheless felt a great deal of love for the poor and suffering. Wherever she could, she took care of people in need. Since the 15th century, she has been venerated as the patron saint of maidservants and farmers, especially in Austria. This portrait impresses with its tastefully designed rural costume. The ears of corn and the sickle - two of the classic attributes of this saint - catch the eye.

This item was made in the traditional Val Gardena valley in South Tyrol.
After the blank has been roughly pre-milled from high-quality mountain maple wood (for the smaller figures) or lime wood (for the larger figures), unless otherwise specified, it is finished by hand and lovingly hand-painted in the colored version.
This high-quality handwork is characterized by its special quality.

Mountain maple and lime wood are light wood types with very little grain.
Each piece is therefore almost unique.
