Scapular "Mother of Mount Carmel" and "Sacred Heart of Jesus"

The scapular consists of two small pieces of fabric that are worn over the shoulders and hang down at the front and back. It is usually put on by a priest.

The scapular has its origins in the apparition of St. Simon Stock, to whom Our Lady appeared in 1251 and held out the brown scapular to him and said: "Whoever dies clothed in this cloth shall be saved!"
